Having run last year’s Forest School pilot programme at Fox Covert, I’m now delighted to be able to offer Fox Covert pupils a Forest School after-school club on Monday afternoons.

Every week, we’ll be exploring Corstorphine Hill and trying out loads of fun activities and games such as . . .

building shelters & hides – making outdoor art – making string from nettles – cooking and eating nettle soup – taking nature photographs –disappearing with the aid of camouflage – following tracks and trails –visiting the badgers – making bird feeders – playing predator and prey, capture the flag and loads more wildlife games


The club will begin at 3.20 and end at 5.30 each week.

Sessions will run from Monday 12 May to Monday 23 June inclusive. There will be no club on Monday 19 May as the school is closed for holiday.

The cost per day is £6, making a total cost of £36 for this term’s six-week block, payable on the first session unless by prior arrangement.

A classroom is available to us in the event of bad weather.
